Outreach

Unity Way Church Outreach Programs:

Interfaith Community Services

The last Sunday of every month is Interfaith Sunday, when congregants bring non-perishable food, pet food and supplies and personal items for delivery to Interfaith.

Pack-a-Backpack

Every year, preceding the beginning of the school year, Unity Way Church congregants buy or donate monetarily to this project which has benefited Crestview Elementary School students and more recently, Solutions for Change. Each year we give an average of 70 backpacks and 50 pencil boxes, filled with school supplies for distribution to those children whose families cannot afford these items.

Green Team

Our Green Team each year participates in a yearly beach cleanup, eliminating harmful waste from one of our local beaches. They also have a display table at Vista Farmers market several times throughout the year, with educational materials and products to raise public awareness of how easy, affordable and convenient it is to have a more earth-friendly lifestyle.

Christmas Gift to the Community

Every year, Women of Unity raise money to give to one or more worthy organizations to help make the Christmas season better for those they serve. Past gifts have gone to Camp Pendleton YMCA, and more recently, Interfaith Community Services.
